Netflix is now offering sermons from four high-profile Christian pastors as part of the movie and television program provider's online video streaming service.
Religion News Service reports the sermons came aboard last month.
"I believe if Jesus were on planet Earth today in the flesh he'd be on Netflix," Fellowship Church pastor Ed Young in Dallas, whose "Fifty Shades of THEY" Netflix series includes five episodes explaining Christian teachings, tells RNS.
The other pastors are Steven Furtick, whose "#DeathToSelfie" features the young preacher in a T-shirt talking about identity, Georgia pastor Andy Stanley who talks about challenges in his series "Startitng Over," and evangelical preacher Joyce Meyer giving a lecture in "Winning Life's Battles," RNS reports.
"It fits with patterns that are long-established," Stewart Hoover, director of the Center for Media, Religion and Culture at the University of Colorado, Boulder, tells RNS, pointing out evangelical churches have been quick to adapt to technologies as they've developed.
