Vice President Mike Pence received the tickets to the NFL game he walked out of last year from oil magnate Forrest Lucas, The Hill reports.

Pence, who attended a game between the Indianapolis Colts and the San Francisco 49ers last October with his wife, left the game early after players kneeled during the national anthem. The tickets he received for that game were worth $774, according to the vice president's most recent financial disclosure report. Pence subsequently weathered accusations of wasting taxpayer funds for diverting a trip from the West Coast to attend the game, which CNN estimated cost $242,500.

Pence also received tickets to the 2017 Super Bowl from Houston Texans owner Bob McNair, worth $15,000. Gifts to the vice president are not covered by the federal gift ban, meaning there was no rule violation. He also accepted tickets to the American Ireland Fund National Gala that took place in Washington last year, valued at $3,000, tickets to the Indiana 500, worth $1,000, and tickets to the annual gala at Ford's Theater, worth $1,000 as well.

The vice president's office declined to comment to the Hill.
