U.S. women's national soccer star Ali Krieger lobbed a Twitter blast at President Donald Trump on Wednesday, weighing in on his war of words with Team USA co-captain Megan Rapinoe.

Rapinoe was interviewed Tuesday by Eight by Eight Magazine about the possibility of visiting the White House if the women's team wins the World Cup.

"I'm not going to the f–ing White House," the soccer star said. "We're not gonna be invited."

Trump responded in a Twitter tirade.

"WIN first before she TALKS," he tweeted, adding: "I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose. Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team. Be proud of the Flag that you wear. The USA is doing GREAT!"

Krieger tweeted a defense of her teammate – and said she, too, would skip any White House visit.

"In regards to the 'president's' tweet today, I know women who you cannot control or grope anger you, but I stand by [Rapinoe] & will sit this one out as well," she wrote.

In the past, Rapinoe protested during the national anthem by taking a knee, adhering to a practice initiated by football star Colin Kaepernick. She now declines to sing along to the  "Star Spangled Banner" and also does not place her hand over her heart.
