A Massachusetts elementary school principal was forced to apologize after a parent brought in a tombstone bearing the name "Don Trump."

CBS Boston reported that West Parish Elementary School in Gloucester held a fundraiser Friday night that was put on by the parent teacher organization. One of the parents brought a Halloween game with tombstones and bean bags.

An image of the fake tombstones, one of which referenced President Donald Trump, was shared with Amanda Orlando Kesterson of the state's Republican Party. It went viral on her Facebook page:

"Intentionally or not, it inappropriately brought a political agenda into what was designed to be a fun family affair," Principal Dr. Telena Imel wrote in a letter to parents.

"Our school, and this includes school events sponsored by related groups, is not the place for politics. In planning future events, it will be made clear to organizers that school is not the place to engage in or to display political agendas or opinions."

"Politics does not belong in an elementary school — any politics. But it's particularly egregious to be putting the name of the sitting U.S. president on a tombstone," said Kesterson.

Trump has received numerous death threats since he took office, including from a Florida prison inmate who is serving time for threatening past presidents.
