What's the next career move for someone who is a Washington, D.C., Council member, a convicted felon and formerly served as mayor of Washington? Reality TV, naturally. Marion Barry has filmed a show
called “Mayor for Life,” with the first episode posted on YouTube by creator Kirk Fra
ser, Politico reports, citing The Washington Post.
The show is just on the web for now, but Fraser is negotiating with networks, and the program "will find a home very soon," says Andre Johnson, Barry’s former communications director.
The first segment of his show focuses on “the run-up to and aftermath of the D.C. Council's January vote to censure Barry for his contracting shenanigans,” according to the Post. Several Washington members make appearances in the pilot episode, and the promotion for the second episode shows Vincent Gray, Washington D.C.’s mayor-elect, making an appearance.
