Marianne Williamson announced Thursday her presidential campaign raised "about $3 million" in the third fundraising quarter of the year, about twice what she raised in the second quarter.

Williamson, who did not qualify for the September and October Democratic presidential debates because of low polling numbers, told Yahoo Finance in an interview Thursday, "we made about $3 million," in the third quarter.

"It's so obscene, the part that money plays on our political system," she continued. "Most of us live in a universe where $3 million is like a big deal. In presidential fundraising, it's like she just squeaked by."

Several of Williamson's fellow Democratic contenders have outpaced her fundraising this quarter, with Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., raising $25.3 million, and Cory Booker, D-N.J., raising $6 million. She also lags behind South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who raised $19.2 million, and Andrew Yang, who raised $10 million.

"But 3 million dollars definitely says there are a lot of people out there saying you stay and you keep going, and I appreciate that so much."

"The American people are on high alert," she added later, saying, "they have a lot of power in their hands."
