Attorney General Loretta Lynch should have taken a page from action hero Harrison Ford and told former President Bill Clinton to "get off my plane," HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher said Friday night.

Clinton and Lynch met in her plane while it was at the Phoenix airport Monday night. Clinton left his plane and boarded her's for a 30-minute chat she says was about grandchildren, travels and other personal topics.

And, said Maher, it all could have been avoided if Lynch had put on her best imitation of Ford's famous movie line from his portrayal of fictional President James Marshall in "Air Force One."

"How about saying, 'I'm the attorney general, I’m looking into your wife, I'm about to indict her — or not, 'Get off my plane.' Like Harrison Ford: Get off my plane!" said Maher. "And to spend 30 minutes? That's a long time to be talking about your grandchildren."

However, they denied talking about Clinton's wife, presumptive Democratic nominee, and the investigation behind her use of a private email server.  Maher ridiculed their excuses.

"Clinton saw the attorney general’s plane across the tarmac, so he boarded her plane to talk — as one does. We all jump off our planes onto the tarmac to say hello to friends on other planes, right?"

And out of all the planes for Clinton to jump on, Lynch's was the wrong one, Maher said.

"Now, Bill says that the conversation with Attorney General Lynch was very innocent. It was just about grandkids, and the weather, and how neither will exist if Trump is elected," Maher further joked. "But hey! Very innocent. No, Attorney General Lynch, you do what you want! I’m just here to talk about the grandkids — who will all be dead, if Hillary doesn’t win — but do whatever you want!"
