The Muslim father of a slain U.S. Army captain — who got into a war of words with Donald Trump during last year's presidential campaign — has criticized the commander in chief for retweeting videos made by an anti-Muslim group.

And Khizr Khan once again asked that Trump to read the Constitution.

Khan, whose son Humayun Khan was killed in 2004 during the Iraq War, told an audience at the St. Louis County Library on Wednesday: "Only one year has gone by. It's not too late. I invite him to read the Constitution so he begins to respect the Constitution and its values."

The Gold Star dad was catapulted into the headlines last year when he and his wife, Ghazala, appeared onstage at the Democratic National Convention to denounce Trump's call for a moratorium on Muslim immigration — and asked the future president to read the Constitution.

Khan told Democrats his son was killed protecting the nation while Trump "sacrificed nothing," prompting the future president, who never served in the military, to counter that he had "made a lot of sacrifices" for the U.S. by employing "thousands and thousands of people."

At the St. Louis event, Khan — an immigration lawyer who is promoting his new memoir, "An American Family: A Memoir of Hope and Sacrifice," published by Random House — tore into Trump's retweeting of several anti-Muslim videos this week.

"This nation is strong because of its unity, because of its graciousness, because of accepting all equally. Therefore, this divisiveness is a sign of defeat," Khan said, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

But, he added, "Our democracy requires that we must remain vigilant, that we not be sidetracked by the propaganda. Not everything that we read on social media is true or correct as it was displayed today."
