Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is heading to Iowa to attend two politically significant events in the Hawkeye State.
According to Politico, the potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate is scheduled to attend the annual summer party hosted by Bruce Rastetter, a highly sought after GOP donor.
Rastetter, a millionaire who made his fortune in hog farming and ethanol production, is considered one of the most influential players in the early Iowa caucuses.
Prior to the Rastetter gathering, Jindal, the current chairman of the Republican Governors Association, will also attend an event to support Gov. Terry Branstad, who is up for re-election in 2014.
