Nikki Haley Locks Herself Out of Governor's Mansion

By    |   Wednesday, 04 September 2013 03:08 PM EDT

Who was that woman mulling around in a bathrobe outside the South Carolina Governor’s Mansion on Wednesday morning?

Why it was the none other than the governor herself — Nikki Haley!

Haley went on her Facebook page to reveal how she left the mansion briefly and accidently locked herself out.

"What not to do . . . getting locked out of the Governor’s mansion in your robe while sending the kids off to school. sigh...#adayinthelife," Haley posted on Facebook around 8:30 a.m.

The amusing post received more than 4,000 likes in the first six hours likes and 500 comments.

That’s more reaction than she got posting photos and videos showing her firing guns last July and news about her husband Michael’s National Guard deployment in Afghanistan, the State newsaper reported.

One commenter, Patrick Perkinson, told Haley: "Thanks for being our Governor! You bring humanity back into politics, and real humor to your voters!"

Another, Keith Stone, added: "Just shows how human you really are and that your do make mistakes like the rest of us! That's why this state loves you as Gov. You're bringing in jobs and not afraid to admit when you make a mistake and defending our laws of moral sense!"

And Jody Richardson commented: "So who do you call for the spare key?"
