Body of US Navy Sailor Recovered in Gulf of Oman

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — The U.S. Navy says it has recovered the body of an American sailor who fell overboard in the Gulf of Oman.

A search was launched Tuesday evening after the sailor was reported missing from the destroyer USS Halsey. The Bahrain-based U.S. 5th Fleet said the sailor's body was recovered Wednesday.

The identity of the sailor hasn't been released.
