Greta Van Susteren put a stop to the rumors Tuesday that she is leaving either Fox News or prime time.
"I am not going anywhere," Van Susteren
wrote on her blog Gretawire Tuesday. "I have a long term contract with Fox News Channel and it is for a daily cable news show in 'prime time.'"
Mediate reported Monday that Van Susteren had approached CNN in the spring about returning to the network, quoting "our high-level sources within CNN," which Susteren also addressed.
"Don't you love the courage of the anonymous sources? And those who then speculate from there?" Van Susteren added on her blog.
The
rumors were bolstered by the announcement made
by Fox News Tuesday that anchor Megyn Kelly would be joining the prime-time lineup. The assumption was that Kelly could take Van Susteren's spot.
Fox News made a point of adding to the news of Kelly's new role at the cable news network that Van Susteren, in addition to Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Shepard Smith, and Bret Baier, had all "signed long-term deals" with Fox News. However, Fox News has not yet said what the new prime-time schedule will look like.
