NYT White House Reporter Shuts Down Twitter Account

White House reporter for The New York Times Glenn Thrush shut down his Twitter account Monday, saying that it was "too much of a distraction" in a farewell tweet to his 350,000 followers.

Thrush went to the Times from Politico in January, and also joined MSNBC as a contributor.

Thrush and fellow White House reporter Maggie Haberman have agreed to write a book about President Donald Trump.
