NBC's Chuck Todd was on the money when he said Alison Lundergan Grimes, the Kentucky Democrat trying to unseat Sen. Mitch McConnell, "disqualified herself" by refusing to say if she voted for President Obama, according to Noah Rothman, associate editor of the conservative news blog HotAir.com.
Rothman said Friday on the "Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV, that Todd's blunt assessment was accurate.

During a tense back-and-forth with the Louisville Courier-Journal editorial board this week, Grimes was asked three times whether she voted for Obama and refused to answer each time.
The "Meet the Press" host said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe: "If you can’t find a way to stand behind your party’s president — you can disagree with him, but you can’t answer that basic question and come across looking that ridiculous — I think she disqualified herself, I really do."
"She was visibly nervous about having to answer that question and by not answering it she did answer it," he said.
"And Todd accurately stated that how can Kentuckian's trust her to make tough decisions where she has to alienate some people if she refuses to do so in the heat of a campaign?
"The bottom is really dropping out for her among support in the press, which really is to be expected."
