The president of the country’s largest group of labor unions said Sunday that President Donald Trump hasn’t done enough for American workers.

In an interview the day before Labor Day on “Fox News Sunday,” president of the AFL-CIO Richard Trumka — who has told Newsmax’s John Gizzi he hasn’t ruled out supporting Trump for a second term — insisted he’s always promised to be fair in judging the administration.

“We said when [Trump] was elected that when he did something good for workers, we’d support him,” Trumka told “Fox News Sunday.” When he did something bad for workers, we’d oppose him.”

Trumka said although employment figures for the nation’s workers “are good… wages have been down since the first of the year and gas prices have been up since the first of the year.

“So workers really aren’t doing that well.”

The union collectively represents more than 12 million workers.

Trumka also told “Fox News Sunday” he’s doubtful a new North American Free Trade agreement could work without Canada’s participation.

“Our economies are integrated. … and it’s pretty hard to see how that would work without Canada on the deal,” he said, adding that the current NAFTA pact “has had a devastating effect on workers.”

“There’s still a lot of work to be done even on the Mexico deal,” he added, saying he’s “anxious to see all three countries involved.”
