Dinesh D'Souza: Trump Is Not Like Hitler

There is no comparison between President Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler, the Nazi Party leader and dictator of Germany in World War II, according to author Dinesh D'Souza Monday on "Fox & Friends."

"Trump is accused of being like Hitler, accused of making kind of a racist attack on immigrants," which is a false accusation, according to D'Souza. Trump has never called on legal immigrants to be "more white," he said.

"Hitler wasn't even talking about immigrants. The Jews in Germany were German citizens. And so for Hitler, the distinction was inside of Germany between what he considered to be the superior Nordics and the, sort of, inferior Jews," D'Souza said.

"So there's simply no valid analogy here between Trump and Hitler on this racial point at all," the author added.

"Trump is arguing for an American nationalism, and not a white nationalism," when he argues for "America first," D'Souza explained.

"This whole concept of ethnic nationalism is a left-wing idea," said D'Souza, author of "The Big Lie," a book about "exposing the Nazi roots of the American left."

D'Souza said in the Fox News interview that Democrats exclude white people from the "multicultural picnic," but they encourage all other forms of ethnic nationalism.

"This, I think, explains why these white nationalists, who really belong in the Democratic Party, are, in a sense, politically homeless. Because if they show up at the multicultural picnic, they're Satan," D'Souza said in the Fox News interview.

After the events in Charlottesville in which neo-Nazis and white nationalists held a "freedom rally" that resulted in three deaths, the neo-Nazis celebrated comments the president made about the riots, according to Business Insider.

Both Republicans and Democrats criticized Trump's comments after he said that "many sides" were to blame in the Charlottesville incident.
