Georgia needs a swift overhaul of its flawed voting process, because the Republicans are not only facing a challenge for Senate control, but they will also "have to beat the fraud," according to presidential strategist Dick Morris on Newsmax TV.
"Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me: That's what's going on in Georgia," Morris told Monday's "American Agenda," pointing to the unequal protection under the law case with drop box locales, the lack of signature verification, and potential hacking vulnerabilities of digital voting tabulation devices and software.
"Those same laws and procedures are still on the books, and when the race is held on Jan. 5, they will be there again," Morris told host Bob Sellers. "We will not only have to beat our opponent, we will have to beat the fraud to win those Senate seats.
"And you should absolutely vote to do that."
Morris wants an emergency session of the Georgia legislature to vote to fix the problems of the election process before the Jan. 5 Senate runoffs, where Sens. David Perdue, R-Ga., and Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., seek to not only defend their seats against Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock, but to also preserve the Republican Senate majority. The GOP holds 50 seats, earning at least a split Senate, so one victory will retain the majority.
Democrats need to sweep both races and seat Joe Biden in the White House, giving the potential 50-50 deciding vote to the vice president.
"The main thing is let's change the rules and procedures so they can't steal it again," Morris said of mass absentee-ballot-pushing Democrats in Georgia.
Morris wants only hand counting of ballots and signature verification to help root out the potential instances of voter fraud.
