CNN: Lewandowski Dropped by Agency After 'Womp Womp'

(Fox News' "America's Newsroom")

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was dropped by his speaking agency Wednesday after he used the term "womp womp" on a cable news show in response to another guest discussing a girl with Down Syndrome.

Lewandowski, according to CNN, is no longer represented by Leading Authorities.

Democrat Zac Petkanas and Lewandowski appeared during a panel segment on Fox News Tuesday when Petkanas began telling the story of a young girl with Down Syndrome who had been separated from her parents at the United States' border with Mexico after they illegally entered the U.S.

As Petkanas was speaking, Lewandowski responded by saying, "womp womp." Petkanas immediately jumped on his fellow guest, incredulously asking, "How dare you, sir."

Lewandowski insisted Wednesday he was referring to Petkanas, who he said used the young girl's situation to make a political point.

Leading Authorities, however, responded by severing ties with him.

A link to Lewandowski's Leading Authorities bio still appearing on his Twitter profile now displays this message: "We apologize, but the content you are looking for is no longer available."

Petkanas told TMZ he was "filled with rage" at Lewandowski's remark.
