Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton has come to the defense of Barron Trump, age 11, son of President Donald and Melania Trump, over criticism of his clothes, according to The Washington Post.
The Daily Caller posted a story slamming the 11-year-old for clothes he wore Sunday while boarding Air Force One, with a headline that said, "It's High Time Barron Trump Starts Dressing Like He's in the White House."
Clinton sent her defense in a tweet:
"The youngest Trump doesn't have any responsibilities as the president's son, but the least he could do is dress the part when he steps out in public," wrote entertainment reporter Ford Springer Monday in The Daily Caller.
Others slammed Springer for the criticism, including journalist Kurt Eichenwald.
Clinton has defended Barron before. In January, she said he "deserves the chance to be a kid."
