A college scholarship has been set up in memory of the late conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer through a partnership with Fox News and the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Fox made the announcement Thursday, saying the Dr. Charles Krauthammer Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to the children of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network employees starting in 2020.
"Charles was a beloved member of the Fox News family, but more importantly, he was an incredible mentor and role model for millions of Americans across the country," Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said.
"We are proud to honor Charles, his legacy, impact, and countless contributions with a new scholarship program enabling the next generation of thought leaders the opportunity and education they need to reach their dreams."
Students must meet certain academic requirements, and scholarship winners will receive $2,000 per college year for up to four years.
Krauthammer died in June at age 68 after a battle with cancer. He was one of the most influential conservative voices and was a Fox News contributor for several years.
