Capitol Hill workers fulfilled President Donald Trump's promise to "drain the swamp" Wednesday morning when they were forced to clean up a flood in the Rayburn House Office Building.

Roll Call reports that a burst pipe caused some flooding in the building, which required the use of mops and shop vacs as Architect of the Capitol workers cleaned up the mess.

The flood occurred on the first floor and led to the temporary closure of one corner of the building and an escalator.

The House Oversight Committee was scheduled to hold a hearing in Rayburn room 2154, which was also closed because of the flood. The hearing regarding the Office of National Drug Control Policy was relocated to a room in the nearby Longworth House Office Building, Roll Call notes.

The Rayburn House Office Building was also flooded last June. A burst pipe caused water to cascade like waterfalls out of ceilings and down walls.
