About 20 Washington, D.C. rights protesters paraded outside of House Speaker John Boehner’s Capitol Hill apartment building Thursday. They let loose with pro-District chants for about 60 minutes, as they waited for him to walk to work,
Politico reports.

The local voting rights group, called D.C. Vote, is upset that the House’s continuing resolution budget bill would end funding for local reproductive health services.
“We were there because he has come into our home here in D.C. and is trying to tell us how to live and what to do,” spokeswoman Leah Ramsay, told Politico. “So we went to his home to tell him what we want.”
Capitol Police escorted Boehner from his home around 8:45 a.m. He didn’t address the protesters, and Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said they didn’t alter his morning routine.
