New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's gun-control group has come under fire after mistakenly naming Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev as a victim of gun violence, the
Daily Mail reports.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the 26-year-old who was killed by police on April 19 following a manhunt and shootout, was among the names read aloud during the No More Names event organized by Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

Attendees at the 900-strong rally were infuriated when they heard Tsarnaev's name announced.
The New Hampshire Union Leader reported that one participant shouted, "He's a terrorist!"
The event, held June 18 in Concord, N.H., was intended to memorialize those who have died from gun-related violence including victims of the Sandy Hook school shooting.
Event organizers have since apologized for the mistake, saying they had relied on an interactive public tally of gun-violence victims compiled from the online magazine Slate.com.
"He was absolutely not a victim," Mayors Against Illegal Guns said in a statement, according to the Mail. "It was a mistake, it should not have happened and we sincerely apologize."
