Search on for Unbiased Jurors in Blagojevich Case

Monday, 25 April 2011 06:53 AM EDT

CHICAGO — The judge and attorneys in Rod Blagojevich's retrial resume the daunting task of identifying jurors who can put aside what they've already heard about the high-profile case.

Judge James Zagel is expected to question several dozen more people Monday.

Questioning last week revealed most potential panelists held unfavorable views of politicians in general or Blagojevich in particular.

Zagel refused defense requests to dismiss some people who indicated on questionnaires they thought the former Illinois governor might be guilty.

Among those who remain in the jury pool is a former prosecutor and substitute teacher who said she didn't like her job.

Blagojevich faces 20 charges, including accusations he sought to sell or trade an appointment to President Barack Obama's old U.S. Senate seat.
