U.S. Proposes Reopening Highways to Mexican Trucks, DOT Says

The U.S. seeks to reopen its highways to Mexican trucks under a pilot program proposed today, according to an e-mailed statement from the Transportation Department.
The U.S. cancelled its previous Mexican trucking program in 2009, following complaints from highway-safety advocates, leading Mexico to impose tariffs on U.S. products.
