President Joe Biden's actions concerning the U.S.-Mexico border are leading to a crisis situation that has already reached a "surge point," Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., said Wednesday.

"I talk to the border regularly and everyone tells me that we're slammed," Biggs told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo. "Just two weeks ago, we were apprehending about 3,600 per day.

"Last week, it jumped to over 4,000 people a day we were apprehending. That means 120,000 people apprehended every month now going forward."

That also means the "got aways" will be in the range of 30,000-100,000 people, but "we're not ever actually sure," Biggs added.

Meanwhile, the COVID testing that needs to be done with immigrants is not happening, and cartels are still controlling who is coming to the border, Biggs said.

"They're open for business," he said. "They're advertising again. That's the report I received just [Tuesday]."

More caravans of immigrants will be heading to the United States, he added, and people are already massing.

"Even the Biden administration is opening up facilities that have been closed under President [Donald] Trump," he said, "so they know that there's this massive influx coming in, and it's crisis proportions again at the border."

Biggs also discussed the massive fatal accident in California that killed 13 immigrants when the SUV they were crowded into was hit by a large truck.

"They'll cram them through, 20, 25 people in a Ford Expedition or some other SUV," Biggs said. "That's what happened [Tuesday]. That's normal that we see along the border. The other thing is, when you start talking about unaccompanied minors, the vast majority of unaccompanied minors are ages 14 to 17 right now, and they're male and they're coming in. That tells us a couple of things, that these are workers or they're gang members."

Further, the number of children coming in illegally has doubled, and that because there is "human trafficking, sex trafficking, drug trafficking," Biggs said. "It's all controlled by cartels who are a multi-billion dollar industry and to them, people are merely a product. They really don't care about human life."
