The Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers will square off for their annual football showdown in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, this weekend, and President Donald Trump is expected to be there for some of the action.

According to Sports Illustrated, the University of Alabama is preparing for Trump to be at Bryant-Denny Stadium for the big game Saturday, even though school officials could not be reached to confirm or deny the report. The magazine reports sources at the school have confirmed Trump's appearance.

Kickoff for the game, one of the most anticipated in college football, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Fans at Saturday's game might be more welcoming to Trump than those in the audience at two other recent sporting events. When Trump took in Game 5 of the World Series in Washington, D.C., late last month, accompanied by first lady Melania Trump and a large group of Republican congressmen, he was roundly met with boos and shouts to "lock him up."

This past Saturday, when Trump and his sons had ringside seats for a mixed martial arts match at Madison Square Garden, they received a mixture of cheers and jeers.

Alabama, however, might be more friendly to Trump, having put him in the White House by 28 percentage points, notes The Hill.

At the end of the 2017 season, Trump went to the National Championship Game in Atlanta, leaving at halftime while the Crimson Tide was losing. After staying on the field for the National Anthem, he sat in a private box behind Alabama's sideline and left when Georgia was still ahead by 13-0.

Alabama came back to win 26-23, and Trump invited them to the White House to celebrate in April.
