For a long time in this country, we clung to the idea that tyranny would come in the form of some hostile force like the Soviets or the Nazis or Islamic terrorism.
We were conditioned to think that way for decades and often with good reason.
The end of America would come with a bang.
One of the things that 2020 has laid bare for all to see — whether it came to the election or the COVID response — is that American freedom in this century will be imperiled not by dictators with tanks and missiles — but by faceless tech giants censoring speech, an untouchable class of permanent bureaucrats and the broadly smiling faces of botox-injected news anchors choosing political activism over facts, fairness and freedom — all with a gleam in their eye.
Independent information sources like Newsmax are more important than ever before because in a nation where the public is manipulated at will by powerful, moneyed, often intolerant interests masquerading as the truth — more ideas, more diversity, and more dialogue is vital.
The last four years have shown us that the once mighty bully pulpit of the presidency pales in comparison to the propaganda megaphone of the media, Big Tech, higher education and Hollywood.
Those forces didn’t win the victories they wanted in this election, to be sure, but during this process they got bolder, more brazen, and stronger.
Our continuing fight isn’t as much with Joe Biden as it is against the people really at the top of the pyramid in our society now — the ones who want to control how you think.
They believe you should surrender your opinion to their agenda, take part in their groupthink, and act like the lemmings they think you are.
They don’t think you’ll notice their hypocrisy.
Hapless Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot — just shut down her city and cancelled Thanksgiving.
Right after the election she was out celebrating in the streets with hundreds of Biden supporters without a mask.
Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., handed Joe Biden the Democrat Party nomination this year.
Last week on CNN he compared President Trump’s post-election legal investigation to tactics used by Hitler and Nazi Germany.
Of course, Chris "Fredo" Cuomo didn’t say anything in response to that vitriol.
CNN Anchor Christiane Amanpour then doubled down on the Trump-Hitler comparison on her own program.
On Saturday, much of the media ignored brutal attacks on pro-Trump marchers by leftist activists from Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA as conservatives converged on Washington to show their support for the president.
In these examples we see small glimpses into the unbridled power of the left-wing media, the lengths they will go to demonize their opposition, and the weakness of Joe Biden.
The divisive, insulting and incendiary comments by Democrats and the media against, not just Trump but Republicans and Conservatives- were not rebuked by the so-called uniter-in-chief in waiting.
Make no mistake — this election was a rejection of the far-left policies hocked by the socialists, Marxists and media activists that collude with the Democratic Party.
But let’s be clear, they are not going to stop.
They will continue to demonize and cancel those who disagree with them.
They will continue to call us racists and stoke fear that silences conservative voices.
They will continue to tell Americans that ceding more individual liberty to a more powerful government will create equality, fairness and freedom.
They will continue to brand anyone who disagrees with them as divisive if they have the temerity to think for themselves.
This is our fight. Joe Biden is a sideshow. It will be up to all of us to resist these forces to preserve the America that exists for all Americans.
