World's Best Airline 2017 is Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways was awarded the honor by the annual World Airline Awards, according to USA Today.

Emirates, which finished at the top of this list last year, fell to No. 4 in the rankings, as Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways (ANA) placed in the second and third slots respectively.

According to Skytrax, the annual World Airline Awards is "the world’s largest, annual airline passenger satisfaction survey."

This year’s rankings were based on a survey of more than 19 million passengers, taken from August 2016 to May 2017.

According to CNN, there were no U.S. airlines among the top of the rankings, which has been the case many times before.

This is the fourth time Qatar Airways finished No. 1 on this list since the rankings first launched in 1999.
