A woman shaving her legs in what appeared to be a public pool at a hotel in Florida brought gasps from many on social media this week with the 19 second video being viewed more than 300,000 times since Monday.
The video, which was originally posted on the social media website Reddit, generated more than 1,600 comments before the section was locked by the moderator.
"Woman caught shaving her legs in public swimming pool in Florida," said the caption in the YouTube video, acknowledging the original Reddit source. "… A video shared on Reddit has revealed a female guest shaving her legs in a busy hotel pool.
"As several children swim within a meter's distance of her, the woman passes the razor up her calves and thighs, while (sitting) on the pool steps. No other guests appear to bat an eyelid at the behavior, apart from the person filming the clip," the caption continued.
The Orlando Sentinel said the pool and the woman could not be identified in the video and was not identified by the person shooting the video. The newspaper reported that while the state of Florida has extensive statutes regarding pool safety, it does not specifically address such hygiene issues as shaving one's legs in pool water.
Many on Twitter were, well, disgusted, by the woman's actions.
