A woman who claimed to have been to hell "10 times," put a diverted Spirit Airlines flight through its own hell when she became hysterical and began yelling and swearing at passengers before being forcibly removed from the plane, Newsweek noted.

The unnamed woman was on board the Houston-Minneapolis flight, which was diverted to Rochester, Minnesota, on Monday after one of the passengers became ill.

Footage of the incident captured by another passenger, Chianti Washington, showed the woman becoming increasingly agitated as she stalked up and down the aisle, demanding to get off the flight and yelling expletives at passengers and flight attendants.

At one point another male passenger stood up to block her path, and the woman allegedly threatened him, claiming her brothers were Marine snipers.

She then turned around and demanded to know if passengers knew what hell was, because she had been there 10 times and "lived to tell the story," according to Newsweek.

"Do you want to know what happened to my family? Do you want to know?" She continued to yell.

ABC 13 reported that police escorted the screaming woman off the flight and took her into custody.

The airline confirmed the incident in a statement, noting that a passenger "became erratic and irate and was removed from the aircraft with the assistance of law enforcement."

Spirit Airlines apologized to passengers who witnessed the event.

Rochester police told Click2Houston that the woman, who is from Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, was reportedly a military veteran suffering from PTSD and panicked when the flight was diverted because she had not flown in ages.

The outburst left other passengers and flight attendants bewildered, with several crying after the incident, Washington said.

The incident is the latest Passenger outburst to make news.

In May, an American Airlines passenger who flew into an in-flight rage after being denied a beer — reportedly screaming and spitting blood — faced up to a possible 20 years in prison for the fracas.

That same month a Frontier Airlines passenger was arrested for peeing on the seat in front of him and grabbing two women during a flight from Denver to Charleston, South Carolina.

In a separate incident, a tardy passenger was arrested after he tried to break into a departing flight at Melbourne Airport.

The unidentified man, who was late for his Jetstar flight, breached Melbourne Airport security, ran out onto the tarmac, and tried to rip the door open to board the flight.
