A British woman is engaged to marry one of her 25 chandeliers, one she calls “Lumiere.”

Amanda Liberty identifies as OS, or object sexual, which signifies an attraction and commitment to inanimate objects. According to Inside Edition, she told Caters News Agency her first love was a drum set at age 14, and that she previously had been in love with the Statue of Liberty and changed her name to Liberty for that reason in 2010.

Liberty, 33, traveled to New York to visit the statue six times, but the attraction finally died because of the distance, she said.

Some experts believe OS is related to autism, an antisocial personality disorder, or previous trauma in a person’s past, IE reported.

Other object sexuals have married inanimate objects in the past, including the Eiffel Tower and the Berlin Wall.

“People often can’t understand that this is just a natural orientation for me, that I can find the beauty in objects and sense their energy,” Liberty said, IE reported. “I want others to see how happy the chandeliers make me and how much they’ve enriched my life.”

She said she first saw Lumiere on eBay last year and had it shipped from Germany.

“I couldn’t stop thinking about her and how beautiful she was — she has such a beautiful shape and I could really feel amazing energy coming from her,” Liberty said.

“I’m not hurting anyone by entering into a relationship with them, I am simply just following my heart,” she added.
