William Shatner claimed fame as the much-loved Capt. Kirk in “Star Trek” and then again in Priceline ads, but now he’s apparently exploring new worlds as a tough biker dude.
The 83-year-old actor tweeted a picture of himself this weekend in black leather, his vest embroidered with “Thunder Dragons,” and sporting a long gray beard.

The getup was apparently part of a Priceline advertising campaign, because the company later tweeted a photo of Shatner in his biker persona next to Kaley Cuoco, asking, “What happens when you run into @williamshatner & @kaleycuoco on the open road? They find you a hotel.”
Shatner’s fans were impressed with his new look, tweeting comparisons to ZZ Top and suggestions for possible television shows where that badass biker guy would fit in.
Shatner may look like he’s ready to join a motorcycle gang, but back in the real world, fans are excited that his one-man show “Shatner’s World” will be playing at theaters across the country on April 24.
The show is a retrospective look at Shatner’s life, from his beginnings as a Shakespearean actor through the “Star Trek” years and beyond. Billed as funny and poignant, “Shatner’s World” highlights Shatner’s storytelling skills.
