Wendy's has a beef with IHOP (aka International House of Pancakes) after it changed its name – at least for marketing purposes – to IHOb for the launch of its burger menu. So does Burger King (which has changed its name to Pancake King).

On Monday, IHOP dropped the “P” for pancakes in its name and added a small "b" for burgers as it rolled out new steakburgers, including the Big Brunch Burger and the Cowboy Burger, Mashable reported.

Company spokeswoman Stephanie Peterson said there was no timetable for how long the branding change will last.

"Right now, there is not a defined time for how long we'll use the IHOb name, but it is tied to the launch; we're supporting the launch by flipping our Twitter handle and creating a fully re-burgered IHOb flagship restaurant in Hollywood, California," Peterson told Mashable.

"All restaurants will have touches of the branding for the duration of the summer campaign. Based on fan demand, there's the chance we may create more IHOb restaurants in the future."

IHOP started teasing the name change earlier this month.

It didn’t take long for Wendy's to troll the IHOb branding on social media.

The post was retweeted more than 15,000 times and generated more than 2,000 comments. Another Wendy's Twitter post responding to one reader, went viral as well, getting retweeted 95,000 comments.

Not be left out, Burger King changed the name on its website to "Pancake King" with a picture of pancakes on its Twitter account.

Others had mixed reaction to the IHOP, eh, IHOb name change on social media.
