Victor Thompson: Patriots Fan's Mug Shot Has Full-Head Helmet Tattoo

By    |   Friday, 10 October 2014 05:32 PM EDT

Victor Thompson, a die-hard fan of the Patriots and Tom Brady, is facing a felony drug charge, but the attention he's getting is for the full-head helmet tattoo he’s sporting in mug shots.

Thompson, 46, was arrested in September in St. Petersburg, Florida, and charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, called spice.

But far from passing into the system quietly, Thompson stood out for the Patriots football helmet tattooed on his head.

The tattoo includes the team logo on each side of Thompson's head, along with Brady’s number 12. The helmet is accurate even down to the small green dot that indicates an electronic device in a real helmet.

Thompson’s head ink also includes a Super Bowl trophy and replicas of the signatures of current and former Patriots players Rob Gronkowski, Wes Welker, and Randy Moss.

The tattoo, and Thompson’s apparent devotion to the Patriots, got a lot of online attention Friday.

The Sportress of Blogitude said Thompson’s devotion to the Patriots "resulted in one of the most hilarious-frightening-disturbing-comical mugshots in the history of hilarious-frightening-disturbing-comical mugshots."

The Sun Chronicle featured Thompson’s tattoo in September, after the paper put out a call for fans to send in pics of their fan loyalty tattoos.

"I was inspired to tattoo my whole head because people don't have that, they only have hats and shirts," Thompson told the Chronicle. "I want to do my whole face a face mask so my helmet is complete."
