The wife and daughter of Urooj Khan, the Illinois lottery winner who died days after he was going to collect his earnings, have settled his estate, the Associated Press reported.

The Chicago man was poisoned with cyanide days after winning $425,000 in July.

Urooj Khan's brother raised suspicions that prompted authorities to exhume his body to gather evidence in case prosecutors decide to file charges.

Urooj Khan died without a will, leading to a court battle.

Al-Haroon Husain is attorney for Urooj Khan's widow, Shabana Ansari.

He says Ansari will receive one-third of the lottery winnings, their house and business. Urooj Khan's daughter from another marriage will get two-thirds the lottery proceeds and some investments.

The settlement of the lottery winner's estate approved Wednesday also prevents either party from filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the other unless new evidence surfaces in a criminal investigation.
