Donald Trump will host a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session Wednesday evening as the Republican presidential nominee continues to spread his social media brand.
Trump's subreddit subscribers (180,000), posted under "The Donald," already dwarfs that of the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate
Hillary Clinton (21,000), CNN reported. The AMA will coincide with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden's Democratic National Convention remarks in Philadelphia.
"The 45th president of the United States of America will be here at 7 p.m., Eastern time this Wednesday,"
stated a post on the Trump subreddit. "Get your questions ready, put on your MAGA hats, and bring your high energy — it's going to be tremendous."
"Just to clarify, this train has absolutely no brakes. If you thought you were tired of winning after the unbelievable success of last week's (Republican National Convention), get ready for more," another post stated.
Trump is not the first politician to brave Reddit's often hold-no-barred AMA sessions; Obama conducted one before his 2012 election and
Sen. Rand Paul has had his turn too, according to Townhall.com.
Former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders did one a year ago. Reddit AMA participants have ranged widely, from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey, Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak, Microsoft's Bill Gates, Telsa's Elon Musk, actor Patrick Stewart, and fighter Ronda Rousey.
The buzz about Trump's appearance on Reddit caused a stir on Twitter.
