President Donald Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star leftovers appeared to be guarded by fake Russian soldiers at one point last week. That was after a man attempted to destroy the landmark with a pickaxe, and a politically charged brawl broke out in the area.

Video was posted online of what The Hill described as "two stone-faced men" dressed in olive green military-style uniforms with thick hats. They stood on Hollywood Boulevard in the 90-degree heat of Los Angeles, appearing to protect Trump's star.

The move was likely a prank playing off special counsel Robert Mueller's long-running probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election that some suggest benefited Trump.

Austin Clay, 24, has been charged with felony vandalism after taking a pickaxe to the Walk of Fame star last week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The incident only appeared to bring more attention to the site, attracting both supporters and opponents of Trump.

CBS Los Angeles reported Thursday that a fight broke out where the vandalized star was located. Witnesses told the television station that a scuffle started when Trump supporters and protestors began arguing at the site.

Los Angeles police said that no arrests had been made because the participants had left by the time authorities arrived.

YouTube star Elijah Schaffer told The Washington Post that he arrived at the star late Thursday with a cardboard cutout of Trump and singer Joy Villa, best know for wearing a "Make America Great Again" dress at the Grammy Awards.

While Schaffer's crew was filming, a woman stepped out of a gathering crowd and started complaining about the president, while others in the audience voiced their support of Trump, the Post reported. Another self-proclaimed YouTube star, nicknamed Real Snake Boy, then led the crowd in chats against the president.

Moments later, members of Real Snake Boy's crew squared off against Shaffer and his crew and continued into a fight, which was captured by cellphone video that was sent to outlets like TMZ.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has asked for civility when it comes to the Trump star, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an institution celebrating the positive contributions of the inductees," Leron Gubler, the chamber's president said in a statement.

"When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California state landmark. Our democracy is based on respect for the law. People can make a difference by voting and not destroying public property," Gubler continued.
