The Trump golf course "resist" message getting so much news play was well planned on Saturday with about 200 protesters quickly getting in prone position in the grass to spell out their dissent in 30-foot-tall letters and a plane overhead to snap the pic.

There was no need to rush, though. Sheriff's deputies just watched from a clubhouse balcony.

The flash mob appeared in the morning at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, reported KABC-TV, and a group called "Indivisible San Pedro" took an aerial shot of the protest and posted it on Twitter.

Peter Warren, a retired journalist and member of the protest group, told the Los Angeles Times the protesters were demanding the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate Russian involvement in last year's presidential election and the release of President Donald Trump's tax returns.

"It's too hard to spell out 'Release your taxes,'" said Warren. "It was just a way to express our love for the country."

He said the group sang "God Bless America" after creating the human protest message.

Warren said course officials and sheriff’s deputies, who were called out to the scene, declined to intervene and watched from a balcony of the clubhouse.

KCBS-TV reported the golf course was the target of vandals on March 12 when environmental activists carved the words "No more tigers, no more woods" in six-foot lettering into the grass of the grounds. The golf course has offered a $10,000 reward for more information on the suspects.

Saturday's protest was noticed on social media.
