Todd Orr survived two bear attacks Saturday morning near Ennis, Montana, living to relate in a graphic video posted on Facebook: "Yeah, life sucks in bear country."

The 50-year-old Bozeman, Montana, man was hiking on the North Fork of Bear Creek in the Madison Range in search of hunting locations when he happened upon a sow grizzly with two cubs, the Montana Standard reported. She charged him from about 80 yards away, attacking him and causing deep gashes, scrapes, and bruises as he laid face down on the ground covering his neck. The bear left and Orr headed toward his vehicle only to encounter the angry grizzly again a few minutes later.

After the attacks, he walked 3 miles to his vehicle and recorded a video describing the ordeal before driving himself 17 miles to the hospital, where he underwent eight hours of treatment, the newspaper reported. (Warning: Video contains graphic content.)

Orr later described the attacks in a detailed Facebook post, telling how the bear ran at him straight through the orange mist of bear spray he used in an attempt to protect himself.

"I went to my face in the dirt and wrapped my arms around the back of my neck for protection. She was on top of me biting my arms, shoulders and backpack. The force of each bite was like a sledge hammer with teeth. She would stop for a few seconds and then bite again. Over and over. After a couple minutes, but what seemed an eternity, she disappeared," Orr said in the post.

But that wasn't the last of the bear. She returned after about five or 10 minutes and attacked again.

"I couldn't believe this was happening a second time! Why me? I was so lucky the first attack, but now I questioned if I would survive the second," Orr wrote.

Twitter users seemed amazed by Orr's story of survival.
