When golfer Tiger Woods plays the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, New York, next week, he’ll be staying at the best hotel room in the Hamptons.

Woods, who made Forbes list of the 100 highest paid athletes this year, was spotted aboard his $20 million, 155-foot mega-yacht “Privacy” — where he'll live during the event — at Gurney’s Montauk Yacht Club ahead of the Open, the New York Post’s Page Six reported.

Woods purchased the pleasure vessel when he married Elin Nordegren back in 2004. The couple split in 2010 and Woods attempted to sell the boat, which reportedly costs $2 million annually to maintain.

Martin Fennelly, a Tampa Bay Times sports columnist, thought the display of wealth was in bad taste.

“Does this guy not get it? How about some self-awareness? Just a little,” he wrote. “Really, it's just a small reminder that in sports, at the top of sports, there is us and there is them.”

Fans didn’t appear to be upset by it, though.

Last year Woods said it was possible he would never return to professional golf, but he has, although he's still chasing a win since his return.
