The original Hanna-Barbera cartoon set in the modern Stone Age town of Bedrock ran in primetime from 1960 to 1966, and became one of the most syndicated shows of all time. It was the first animated show to ever receive a nomination at the primetime Emmy Awards, and was supposed to be a parody of Jackie Gleason's "The Honeymooners,"
CBS News reports.
Reboots of the franchise include the 1994 live-action film produced by Steven Spielberg and starring John Goodman, Elizabeth Perkins, Rick Moranis, Rosie O’Donnell, and Elizabeth Taylor. according to Entertainment Weekly.
