Terrell Owens is just No. 2 of umpteenth reveals to go in what looks like a marathon "Dancing With the Stars" 25th season rollout. The NFL great joins "Property Brothers" star Drew Scott, ABC announced on Tuesday.

It does seem like a long process, but reality TV like life is full of surprises.

Owens, one of the top wide receivers in his playing days, will be matched with two-time "DWTS" champion professional dancer Cheryl Burke, ABC noted. Burke and another football star, Emmitt Smith, won the top prize in Season 3 in 2006.

"If I can handle Bill Parcells then I can handle Cheryl," Owens said, referring to his former Dallas Cowboys coach, according to ABC. "But it's going to be challenge. Yesterday we got our first start at trying to learn some steps, so that's the challenge."

Owens played for the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles, finishing his career with the second most receiving yards in NFL history. Since leaving the league in 2010, Owens has worked as a model, advocating for causes including Alzheimer's disease awareness, while writing children's and fitness books.

People magazine reported last week that Scott, of the popular home improvement show "Property Brothers," will compete alongside his professional dance partner Emma Slater. Slater and her partner, former NFL star Rashad Jennings, won the Mirror Ball trophy last season.

"I'll be filming two of my shows up in Toronto and one of my shows in L.A. And the Sept. 18 premiere comes right in the middle of our book tour to promote our book, which comes out Sept. 5, so Emma and I will be rehearsing in a different city every night," Scott told People.

"But this is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And I'm going to learn how to dance just a few months before my wedding. That's going to be amazing," he continued.

Owens told ABC he talked with friend and fellow NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson, who competed on "DWTS" in Season 10 with Burke, about his upcoming challenge.

"He said it's going to be a lot of work but I expect nothing different," Owens said, per ABC. "This is going to be a challenge for me, definitely. [It's] definitely not in my wheelhouse. I danced as a little kid but this is nothing like what I’m going to expect, I'm sure."

Spoiler Alert

ABC will announce the full celebrity cast of "DWTS" on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday with the televised competition starting Sept. 18.
