A Mississippi second-grade teacher who was fired over a racist Facebook post on her account says she was hacked and she didn’t make the post in question.

The South Panola School District fired Cammie Rone on Tuesday after an investigation into the incident, the Clarion-Ledger reported. An appeal can be filed if Rone so chooses.

According to Fox 13, the offending post said, "If blacks in this country are so offended no one is forcing them to stay here. Why don’t they pack up and move back to Africa where they will have to work for a living. I am sure our government will pay for it! We pay for everything else."

Rone posted Monday that she thought her account had been hacked and that she couldn’t see the post everyone was talking about.

“I keep getting messages about racist posts but when I go to my page I can’t see it,” she wrote, the Ledger reported. “Someone screenshoted (sic) and sent me. If anyone knows me I post about cows recipes and home improvements stuff not racism. Please know I have not posted or made any kind of ractist (sic) comments.”

Rone did not respond to any media requests for comment.

Parents including Keboni Anderson said they were uncomfortable with Rone teaching their children after reading the post.

“I don’t feel right with her teaching him,” Anderson told WREG. “She came [across] to me as a good person and then when I read the comment, it rubbed me the wrong way.”

Another parent, Tammie Thornton, said told the news station she didn’t believe Rone’s claim that she had been hacked.
