Tara Reid unveiled a sneak peek of "Sharknado 2: The Second One" this week as the premiere date for the kitschy Syfy sequel looms.
This time, the deadly predators descend upon New York City as a freak weather system scoops them up from the water and rains them down on unsuspecting residents, including Reid and Ian Ziering, who are reprising their roles from the original.
With new cast members like Mark McGrath and Vivica A. Fox, and cameos by everyone from Perez Hilton and Matt Lauer to Kelly Osbourne and Andy Dick, "Sharknado 2" is hoping to recreate the ratings and epic social media impact of the first film, which premiered last summer.

Syfy executive president Thomas Vitale first announced a "Sharknado" sequel just a few weeks after the first one aired. The made-for-TV movie went viral, bringing in 5,000 tweets per minute, and becoming an instant cult classic.
"Every once in a while, there is a perfect storm — on television. The fans are clamoring for a sequel. Or perhaps it will be a prequel. What we can guarantee is that 'Sharknado 2' will be lots of fun," Vitale told reporters back then.
Many "Sharknado" fans took to Twitter at the time to suggest titles and plotlines for a sequel movie.
"Sharknado 2: The Second One" will premiere on Syfy on July 30 at 9 p.m. EST.
