The new “Suspiria” trailer, just dropped by Amazon, shows a very dark side of a dance company – one where witches, horror and evil prevails. It could even be darker than 2010’s “Black Swan” with Natalie Portman.

Luca Guadagnino’s remake of the 1977 cult classic thriller, which stars Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton, is set to open in cinemas later this year, Variety reported, but hype surrounding the film is mounting as the first trailer left the internet buzzing.

The upcoming film tells the story of an ambitious dancer (Johnson), who joins a renowned dance company, where something sinister is at play.

As IMDB reported, the tagline says a darkness swirls around the halls of the dance study, which will engulf Johnson, the troupe's artistic director (Swinton) and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf).

“Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up."

The trailer does not give too much away but it is eerie enough to keep audiences engaged and wanting more.

“At the beginning, she gave me things: perfect balance, perfect sleep,” Johnson’s character says of the academy’s artistic director at the start of the trailer, according to Rolling Stone magazine. “But she wants to get inside of me – I can feel her. She can see me.”

Included in the cast is Chloe Grace Moretz, Mia Goth and Jessica Harper, while Radiohead's frontman, Thom Yorke, has composed the film score.

Guadagnino praised Yorke’s work and contribution to the film.

“Thom’s art transcends the contemporary,"” he said, according to NME. “To have the privilege of his music and sound for ‘Suspiria’ is a dream come true. The depth of his creation and artistic vision is so unique that our ‘Suspiria’ will sound groundbreaking and will deeply resonate with viewers. Our goal is to make a movie that will be a disturbing and transforming experience: for this ambition, we could not find a better partner than Thom.”

'Suspiria' will make its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and thereafter will open at New York and Los Angeles cinemas before hitting theaters nationwide in Nov., Rolling Stone said.
