After Ghana dismissed Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng from the squad for disciplinary reasons, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Majeed Waris were called up for the must-win World Cup match against Portugal on Thursday.

Waris makes his debut at the tournament and will partner Asamoah Gyan up front, while Agyemang-Badu comes into central midfield in place of Muntari.

Pepe returns from suspension and slots in at center back as one of four changes by Portugal, which also calls up William Carvalho, Ruben Amorim and Eder. Cristiano Ronaldo again starts in a three-man attack.

Both teams have one point from two Group G games and need to win to stand any chance of advancing.
