Steven Bauer, the 57-year-old "Scarface" actor, and his 18-year-old girlfriend, activist and public speaker Lyda Loudon, made headlines across entertainment and gossip publications on Thursday as they were spotted by paparazzi for the first time since July.
According to E! Online, the two were first spotted together earlier this summer at the red-carpet premiere of "Magic in the Moonlight."
Since then, Loudon's mother, Fox News contributor Dr. Gina Loudon,
wrote an article on WND.com, detailing her and her husband's thoughts on their daughter's choice to be with a man 39 years her senior.

"[Lyda's] brutal honesty manifested itself one day with a truth that sent me reeling," Gina wrote. "She was dating a much older man."
Gina said that in the end, it came down to a single decision.
"When parents are confronted with information like this about their adult child, they have essentially two choices: 1) Reject your child, and lose them. 2) Try to find a way to understand them, and love them through the process."
Throughout the article, Gina Loudon expressed her frustration that the media have chosen their family to spotlight.
"Tabloids would smell the blood in the water and our daughter would be fodder. The black paparazzi SUVs would follow her, and her days of the somewhat private life would end – something she has never wanted. We wanted to hide, and to hide her, so this would go away somehow."
Nonetheless, she admitted, "I asked myself why Mr. Bauer did not walk the moment he realized where all of this was going."
Bauer was previously married to actress Melanie Griffith. They have a son who is 28 years old.
