Starbucks opened the first Princi Italian Bakery within its Seattle Starbucks Reserve Roastery location Tuesday, offering fresh-baked bread and sandwiches to the lunch crowd to expand their market share.

Starbucks took a stake in Princi last year, but will not open more Princi locations until late 2018, USA Today reported. It is the first time in Starbucks history that it will have fresh baking at any location.

The sandwiches and baked goods currently sold in Starbucks locations are not made on site, USA Today reported. At the Seattle Princi location, more than 100 menu items will be available including croissants and rolls in the morning and sandwiches and salads at lunch. Many will be made with locally sourced ingredients.

The next locations to include Princi bakeries will be Shanghai, Milan, New York, Tokyo and Chicago, according to Fortune.

Princi was founded in Milan in 1986 and has six locations in Milan and London, Fortune reported. Starbucks has said it may open standalone Princi stores at a later date in addition to the Roastery locations.

“I’ve traveled the world and I’ve been exposed to great food and great culinary experiences,” Starbucks executive chairman and former CEO Howard Schultz said when he announced the planned bakery locations last year, Fortune reported. “Of all the great culinary experiences I have had, there are none that come close to what Rocco Princi has done.”

Fortune previously reported that food sales have helped Starbucks increase its revenue in recent years and has driven more customers to its locations.

Feedback for the new offerings seemed positive on Twitter.
