CBS Consumer Products and the Federation of Beer unveiled a new "Star Trek"-themed beer, Klingon Warnog, at the Nightclub & Bar Show in Las Vegas on Monday.
The Klingon beer, which will be brewed by Tin Man Brewing Co. in Evansville, Ind., is a Dunkelweizen with rye and hints of clove, banana, and caramel. It follows last year’s Vulcan Ale, brewed by Harvest Moon Brewery in Belt, Mont.

"The Klingons have long been recognized as the 'bad boys' of the Star Trek Universe and one of the most popular villains in television history. However, their aggressive nature is balanced out by their strict moral code respecting honor, valor and courage," Federation of Beer Director of Administration Paul Carreau said,
according to USA Today. "The Federation wanted to brew a beer whose taste embodied all aspects of the Klingon warrior spirit."
Klingon Warnog is expected to be available later this year, according to USA Today. Vulcan Ale, which presently is available only in Canada, also is expected to be available in the United States later in the year. A third "Star Trek" beer is in the works.
Reactions on Twitter were mixed.
